Oct. 15re: Oct. 15 edition

This edition was compiled by a fallback pass that could not reach any of the primary records this report is built from, and it reports no crime because it could read no record of any. The Alaska State Troopers daily dispatch, the Fairbanks Police Department daily bulletin, both weekly Alaska Court System reports, Alaska CourtView, the U.S. Attorney index, the News-Miner public safety column, PulsePoint and the Fairbanks Police Department Facebook page were all unreadable to it. Nothing in this edition states or implies that nothing happened in the Interior on Oct. 14 or Oct. 15, 2026. No figure from an earlier edition is restated here as a figure for this day.

Oct. 15re: Oct. 15 edition

The first file published for Oct. 15, 2026 was compiled at 04:05 AKDT by a fallback pass with no access to the primary records, and it reported no crime, no court filings and no open cases for that reason. It was published while the pass that reads the records was still compiling this edition, which read the trooper dispatch, the city police bulletin, both weekly court reports, the public case database, the state law press index, the News-Miner public safety column, three newsroom indexes, PulsePoint and the police Facebook page between 03:18 and 03:42 AKDT. The statements the earlier file made about its own reach were accurate for that pass; its statement that the day's primary records could not be read is superseded by this edition, which replaces it in full. Its corrections are carried forward above and nothing it published is dropped.

Oct. 15re: Oct. 14 edition

The Oct. 14 edition reported that the Fairbanks Police Department daily bulletin returned no rows for Oct. 12 and for Oct. 13, each a complete calendar day. Both pages have since moved: Oct. 13 returns two rows and Oct. 12 returns one, and the pages for Oct. 9, Oct. 10, Oct. 11 and Oct. 14 all return more rows than they did. The figures were read correctly and the inference drawn from them was wrong. A count of zero on this feed means only that nothing had been posted at the time of reading, on a complete calendar day as much as on an incomplete one.

Oct. 15re: Oct. 14 edition

The Oct. 14 edition reported that 4FA-26-02024CR remains in the court's criminal dispositions file. It does not appear in that file. A direct probe returns absent and a search for the number across all 237 pages of the file returns no match. The file's footer stamp has been unchanged throughout, so this is not a refresh having removed it. Twelve of the thirteen case numbers the public database denies are in the dispositions file; this one is not.

Oct. 15re: Oct. 14 edition

The Oct. 14 edition recorded the defendant on 4FA-26-02059CR as Gelden Parrilla, which is how the weekly charges report prints the line. The case record read on Oct. 15 prints the name as Gonzalez, Geldin Luis Parrilla. The case number, arrest tracking number, offence date and judge are the same in both documents. Both spellings are recorded and neither is asserted over the other.

Oct. 15re: Oct. 15 edition

An earlier file for Oct. 15, 2026 reported that the Alaska State Troopers daily dispatch page for Oct. 15 had not been published and that no figure was carried for it. The page was published later the same morning, with a dated header and all ten detachment and bureau blocks, and the D Detachment block that covers the Fairbanks area reads No news reported at that later reading.

Oct. 14re: Oct. 13 edition

The Oct. 13 edition reported that no court file carried any of the three offences troopers recorded against the Oct. 12 arrest at Fairbanks under incident AK26101825. A file was opened on Oct. 13, 4FA-26-02078CR, carrying one count of robbery in the first degree armed with a deadly weapon, a Class A felony. The statement was accurate as to the records at the stated time of reading and is answered by the later filing. The file carries one count and not the three offences the arresting agency recorded.

Oct. 14re: Oct. 13 edition

The Oct. 13 edition recorded 4FA-26-02078CR and 4FA-26-02079CR as case numbers that returned no record on a search and that the court did not print either. Both are printed by the weekly charges report run-stamped 9:01 p.m. on Oct. 13 and both resolve in the public database. The earlier statement described two searches at a stated minute and should not be read as a statement about what the court had issued.

Oct. 14re: Oct. 13 edition

The Oct. 13 edition recorded that the Fairbanks Police Department bulletin spells the surname on 4FA-26-02058CR as Nicolai and the court file spells it Nicholai. The court file read on Oct. 14 spells it Nicolai. The spelling attributed to the court file is withdrawn; both records read Nicolai.

Oct. 14re: Oct. 13 edition

The Oct. 13 edition recorded that all five of the Fairbanks-area files carrying no charging document remained in that state. Four of the five are charged on the reading of Oct. 14: 4FA-26-02052CR, 4FA-26-02058CR, 4FA-26-02060CR and 4FA-26-02066CR, all misdemeanours. 4FA-26-02059CR still carries no charging document. Nothing is retracted as a statement about the earlier reading.

Oct. 14re: Oct. 13 edition

The Oct. 13 edition recorded the D Detachment block on the trooper dispatch page for Monday, Oct. 13 as carrying one item. The page read on Oct. 14 carries two; the second, a warrant arrest, was posted at 11:22 p.m. on Oct. 13, after that reading. A count on these feeds is the count at the moment of reading and no day is ever closed.

Oct. 14re: Oct. 14 edition

The U.S. Attorney index for the District of Alaska is required to be fetched directly and never read through a browser, because the browser view has been reproducibly weeks behind. A direct request from this record's own network was refused at the gateway with a 403 at CONNECT, and the index was read instead through a summarising fetcher, which is a route the standing method does not provide for. It establishes the membership of the index and is recorded here as a departure from the method rather than left unstated.

Oct. 13re: Oct. 12 edition

The Oct. 12 edition reported that no case had been added to any earlier day in the weekly charges report's window since the previous run, and listed three Fairbanks cases filed on Sunday, Oct. 11. The run stamped 9:01 p.m. on Oct. 12 lists five Fairbanks cases under Sunday, Oct. 11, the additional two being 4FA-26-02069CR and 4FA-26-02070CR. The statement described the report as it stood and should not have been published as a count of what the report would hold.

Oct. 12re: Oct. 11 edition

The Oct. 11 edition reported that no court file carried any of the six charges troopers recorded against an arrest at Fairbanks on Oct. 10. A file was opened the following day, 4FA-26-02067CR, which carries six counts corresponding to those charges offence for offence. The statement was accurate when published and is answered by the later filing.

Oct. 12re: Oct. 11 edition

The Oct. 11 edition recorded a last docket date of Oct. 10 for 4FA-26-02058CR, 4FA-26-02059CR and 4FA-26-02060CR. A reading of Oct. 12 finds no docket entry of any kind on any of the three. The earlier figure was wrong.

Earlier editions recorded that three of the eleven Fairbanks-area case numbers the court prints and which the CourtView case-number search returns no record for appeared in no other court file. All three, 4FA-26-02006CR, 4FA-26-02008CR and 4NE-26-00100CR, appear in the criminal dispositions report read on Oct. 12 as closed cases with closing dates of Oct. 5, Oct. 5 and Oct. 7. The earlier observation rested on a version of that report that had not refreshed in six days.

Oct. 12re: Oct. 12 edition

An earlier revision of this file, published at 05:10 on Oct. 12, recorded that the primary Interior criminal records could not be read for Oct. 11 or Oct. 12 and gave no count for any of them. All of those records were read later the same morning and this revision supersedes it. Nothing in the earlier revision is retracted as a statement about that attempt.

The editions of Oct. 8, Oct. 9 and Oct. 10 carried the Fairbanks court file 4FA-26-02028CR, one count of assault in the third degree with a weapon, a Class C felony, against the name Knight, Daniel Owen. The file is printed on Oct. 11 against the name Wright, Donovan Paige, and the docket carries two entries dated Oct. 10 reading errata as to name and identifiers. The case number, the arrest tracking number, the count, its class and its offence date are unchanged. This report asserts nothing about how the earlier name came to be on the file.

Oct. 11re: Oct. 10 edition

The Oct. 10 edition reported that no court file carried the charges police recorded against an arrest at the 1700 block of South University Avenue at 18:33 on Oct. 9. A file was opened the following day: 4FA-26-02061CR, filed Oct. 10, which carries both counts police recorded and three further counts offence-dated Oct. 10. The statement was accurate when published and is answered by the later filing.

Oct. 10re: Oct. 9 edition

The Oct. 9 edition reported that a grand jury returned in three cases on Thursday, Oct. 8. A grand jury returned in at least four. The fourth is 4FA-26-01916CR, a Fairbanks case carrying two Class C felony counts, whose docket records a grand jury return dated Oct. 8. The figure of three was a count of the returns this report had identified, published as a count of the returns there were. No total is now asserted.

Oct. 10re: Oct. 9 edition

The Oct. 9 edition reported that no court file returned on a dated name search for the man arrested at Tok on Oct. 8 and remanded to the Fairbanks jail. A file was opened the following day: 4TO-26-00075CR, filed Oct. 9 at the Tok court, carrying four counts including two Class B felonies. The statement was accurate when published and is answered by the later filing.

Oct. 9re: Oct. 8 edition

The Oct. 8 edition reported that the court file in 4FA-24-02136CR recorded no verdict, no remand and no sentencing hearing, and that the conviction was public only through a Department of Law release. The file read on Oct. 9 carries a docket row dated Oct. 2 reading Jury Related Document: Verdicts I and II, a temporary order of commitment pending final judgment of the same date, and a sentencing hearing on March 18, 2027 on its event list. Ten docket rows are new since that reading and all ten carry dates between Sep. 28 and Oct. 2. Whether those rows were entered after the Oct. 8 reading or were present and missed cannot be established from the file, and neither is asserted.

Oct. 9re: Oct. 8 edition

The Oct. 8 edition gave the date of the last docket entry in 4FA-26-01446CR as Oct. 5 and in 4FA-26-01938CR as Oct. 1. Both files were re-read on Oct. 9 under a revised method of counting docket rows, which excludes bail continuation lines, and the last dated entry is Oct. 2 in the first and Sep. 29 in the second. No other case on this list changed its last docket date backwards.

Oct. 8re: Oct. 7 edition

The Oct. 7 edition reported that the court file in 4FA-26-02028CR carried one count recorded as charging document pending or not filed, with no charge class and no docket entry of any kind. The file now carries one count of assault in the third degree, cause fear of injury with a weapon, a Class C felony, and the defendant was arraigned on Oct. 7. The file carried no charge when it was read on the morning of Oct. 7.

Oct. 8re: Oct. 7 edition

The Oct. 7 edition reported that the charge list in 4NE-26-00096CR carried seven counts, among them a second count of burglary in the first degree, in a dwelling, a Class B felony, at Cantwell. The charge list read on Oct. 8 carries six counts and no count carries that tracking number. Nothing on the court file records why, and its most recent docket entry is dated Oct. 6.

Oct. 8re: Oct. 7 edition

The Oct. 7 edition reported that an arraignment was held on Oct. 5 in 4FA-26-02019CR. The court's event list records the arraignments of Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 as continued, and an arraignment held on Oct. 7.

Oct. 8re: Oct. 7 edition

The Oct. 7 edition reported that the Alaska Department of Law had published nothing in six days and that its most recent release was the Oct. 1 Office of Special Prosecutions review. Two releases dated Oct. 5 stand above it on the department's index, one of them the Fairbanks sexual abuse conviction carried in this edition. The two releases did not appear in the reading taken on the morning of Oct. 7.

Oct. 7re: Oct. 6 edition

The Oct. 6 edition reported that no criminal court file existed over the conditions-of-release violation that troopers referred to the District Attorney's Office on Oct. 5. A case was filed at Fairbanks on Oct. 5, 4FA-26-02026CR, carrying two counts, and a warrant was issued on it on Oct. 6. The case did not appear in the court's public database or its weekly report when those were searched on the morning of Oct. 6.

Oct. 7re: Oct. 6 edition

The Oct. 6 edition reported the case judge in 4FA-26-01896CR as Harbison. The case judge field now records no assigned judge, and the omnibus hearing and trial week have moved from Dec. 1 and Dec. 14 to Nov. 5 and Nov. 23.

Oct. 6re: Oct. 5 edition

The Oct. 5 edition reported that the arraignment in 4FA-26-02019CR was held on Oct. 4. The court's event list records that arraignment as continued, with a second arraignment held on Oct. 5.

Oct. 6re: Oct. 5 edition

The Oct. 5 edition reported that neither 4FA-26-02020CR nor 4FA-26-02014CR appeared in any trooper dispatch or police bulletin entry. The Fairbanks Police Department daily bulletin now records an arrest at the 1000 block of Kellum Street at 11:29 p.m. on Oct. 3 on a charge of criminal mischief in the fifth degree, case 26003039, which corresponds to 4FA-26-02020CR. The entry was added to the bulletin after Oct. 5.

Oct. 5re: Oct. 4 edition

The Oct. 4 edition reported that a Fairbanks-area case number filed and closed on Oct. 4 with no charging document, 4FA-26-02018CR, still returned records in Alaska CourtView, and used that to withdraw an earlier explanation for other case numbers that return none. That case number returned No Records Found on Oct. 5, by case number and by name search. The statement that such a case still returns records is withdrawn, and no explanation is now offered for the case numbers that do not resolve.

Oct. 5re: Oct. 4 edition

The Oct. 4 edition reported that no court file existed for the domestic violence arrest made at Healy on Oct. 3. A case was filed at the Nenana court on Oct. 4, 4NE-26-00099CR, carrying three counts, all recorded as domestic violence related.

Oct. 5re: Oct. 4 edition

The Oct. 4 edition reported that the Alaska Court System's weekly criminal charges report did not contain 4FA-26-02014CR, a seventh case filed at Fairbanks on Saturday, Oct. 3. The report run at 9 p.m. on Oct. 4 contains it under that date.

The Oct. 4 morning edition reported six criminal cases filed at Fairbanks on Saturday, Oct. 3, taken from the court's weekly charges report. The court filed seven: 4FA-26-02014CR, carrying two domestic violence counts, has a file date of Oct. 3 and is not contained in that report.

Earlier editions explained the Fairbanks case numbers that return no records in Alaska CourtView by stating that a case closed for want of a charging document does not appear in the public database until charges arrive. A case in that state, 4FA-26-02018CR, was read on Oct. 4 and does return records, by case number and by name, so that explanation is withdrawn as an account of those seven numbers.

The Oct. 4 morning edition carried a compiled time of 05:05 AKDT. The publishing platform timestamps that edition at 03:48 AKDT and this file at 03:58 AKDT, while the edition also records individual readings as late as 04:44. The two cannot both be right and this record cannot establish which clock is wrong; both are kept, and the time given is the time the edition was published.

Oct. 3re: Oct. 2 edition

The Oct. 2 edition said the Alaska Department of Law's press index carried no item about the Office of Special Prosecutions review of the July 7 Fairbanks trooper shooting. The department published that review on its press index, dated Oct. 1, and it states that the review was completed Sept. 29. Whether the item was added after the Oct. 2 reading or was present and missed cannot be established.

Oct. 3re: Oct. 2 edition

The Oct. 2 edition said it had been fifteen days since the Alaska Department of Law announced the outcome of a Fairbanks-area case. Its Oct. 1 release on the trooper shooting review is a Fairbanks-area item, so that run ended on Oct. 1.

Oct. 3re: Oct. 2 edition

The Oct. 2 edition listed four events on the Fairbanks police bulletin for Oct. 1. The page now holds 25, including an aggravated assault with a weapon that appears in no other public record. Counts taken from this feed are minimums and can rise sharply after publication.

Oct. 2re: Oct. 1 edition

The Oct. 1 edition said the two daily public feeds had posted three events in total between Sept. 28 and Oct. 1. The Fairbanks police bulletin has since added an arrest made on Sept. 30, a date that had shown no events on two earlier readings, and listed four events for Oct. 1. Counts taken from these feeds are minimums and can rise after publication.

Oct. 1re: Sep. 30 edition

The Sept. 30 edition gave the judge in the North Pole kidnapping case, 4FA-26-01890CR, as Schwalm. The case judge is Temple; the court file records a change of judge by peremptory disqualification from Judge Schwalm to Judge Temple on Sept. 22.

Sep. 30re: Sep. 29 edition

The Sept. 29 edition reported that the Fairbanks police bulletin showed no events for Sept. 27 and gave counts for Sept. 21 through Sept. 26 as 15, one, eight, five, one and two. The bulletin has since added sixteen events across five of those dates: Sept. 22 now holds two, Sept. 24 six, Sept. 25 seven, Sept. 26 seven and Sept. 27 three, including a robbery with a cutting instrument and an aggravated assault.

Sep. 30re: Sep. 29 edition

The Sept. 29 edition gave Your Alaska Link's newest Interior crime item as a Sept. 23 death. The outlet had published an account of the Sept. 16 Fairbanks narcotics operation on Sept. 25, updated Sept. 28, which was on its crime section at the time of that reading.

Sep. 30re: Sep. 30 edition

An earlier edition published today gave KTVF / WebCenter Fairbanks as carrying nothing from the Fairbanks area since Sept. 18. KTVF published a report on the death of a Fairbanks man pinned by a tractor on Sept. 23 at 12:12 p.m., filed under general news rather than under crime. The outlet's most recent Fairbanks-area item is therefore Sept. 23, not Sept. 18.

Sep. 29re: Sep. 28 edition

Monday's edition listed the most recent docket entry in case 4FA-24-02118CR, against Cedar Mae Sarten, as dated Sept. 9. The docket carries two later entries dated Sept. 25, including the State's sentencing memorandum and Rule 32.1 notice.

Sep. 29re: Sep. 28 edition

Monday's edition reported that three Fairbanks case numbers printed in the court's weekly report returned no record in the public case index. One of the three, 4FA-26-01901CR, now appears in that index with two charges filed, a warrant issued Sept. 28 and a hearing set for Sept. 29. A case number can be closed when no charging document is filed and reopen when charges arrive, at which point it becomes visible; the two court records were not in conflict.

Sep. 28re: Sep. 27 edition

The Sept. 27 edition reported an arrest near Clay Street and Second Avenue on a charge police recorded as a felony assault in the third degree with a weapon. The charge filed in court on Sept. 27 is one count of assault in the fourth degree, a Class A misdemeanor; the court file records no felony count.

Sep. 28re: Sep. 27 edition

The Sept. 27 edition listed five counts in case 4FA-26-01644CR. The case carries six counts; the sixth is violating a condition of release for a felony, a Class A misdemeanor. The public case index displays only five charges per case and holds further counts behind a link.

Sep. 28re: Sep. 28 edition

An earlier version of Monday's edition reported that neither of the weekend's two Fairbanks domestic violence arrests had a court file. Complaints were filed in both on the morning of Sept. 28 and both men were arraigned that afternoon; one file carries two felony counts. The statement was accurate at the time of the morning reading and had ceased to be so by midday.

Sep. 27re: Sep. 26 edition

The Sep. 26 edition listed 11 of the 13 Fairbanks filings for Sep. 25. The two omitted cases, 4FA-26-01922CR and 4FA-26-01926CR (both theft 4), have been added.

Sep. 26re: Sep. 15 edition

Earlier editions stated that no Fourth District grand jury indictment had appeared since Sep. 2. An indictment in 4FA-26-01446CR was returned Sep. 9.
